On the way to Gulfport

For some of you thinking we made a severe turn to the northwest, this is Gulfport, FL. not Gulfport, MS.  We've cruised to the Mississippi city too but not this trip. Along the way is always interesting whether in the ICW or on the outside.  Since we left in the mid-afternoon, we chose to go on the inside and get there more quickly.  It was good to be on the move again.
Sad, sad boat.  When we see these kinds of boats, we always wonder about their story.  Someone must have been the super proud first owner.

This classic cruiser had a hailing port of  Delaware.  Beautifully kept old beauty.

More mangroves along the way.

Our last opening bridge along this phase of the trip.
Coming into the anchorage at Boca Ciega Bay off the town of Gulfport.
