More Bimini

We walked to a hardware store about 2 miles away and explored  in between. The island is very narrow and has the main road of the King's Highway then for some distances when width allows, there is an upper road called the Queen's Highway.  We wandered around both.  The hardware store guy tried very hard to help but he didn't have anything like we needed to make our solar shower work.  Oh well, there is always a southern engineered solution, I'm sure.
There are several small, well kept cemeteries around this part of the island.
Some are associated with churches others have no markings.

This giant cactus was just amazing and needed to be photographed.
Yes, David is wearing a sweatshirt.  The north wind was really blowing!

There are a lot of abandoned and falling down buildings.  This one only
had walls left standing.

The people are very proud of their kids accomplishments.  This young
lady had a few signs honoring her that we saw. This was outside
the restaurant where we had lunch with a great view.  We saw a seaplane come in.

The Queen's Highway.

The local junk yard.  That is a dozer in the middle.

This cat is full of spring breakers from Ohio State.  Several are on their
sailing team.  It was a few of them that saved us from total docking disgrace
on our arrival.  Nice kids.
