Vizcaya Gardens

I put these in a separate post in case you're not into plants.  If you are, enjoy, I sure did.
There were so many different gardens to explore.  Each one had it's own theme.  I could
have spent the entire day just wandering around them all.  There were mazes, formal
English gardens, French gardens, Italian gardens and on and on.  I can only imagine what it
was like when it was the full 180 acres.  This was one of the more formal spaces with neat,
trimmed bushes in exact line.

The statuary was also amazing.  This fountain was a focal point in one of the smaller gardens.

There was a high spots built to block the western sun from becoming
too much for the west rooms of the house.  The designer used the space to good
effect, adding a casino on the top with cascading pools on either side.  The height also gave
a grand view of the central gardens.

One of the many, many pools throughout the grounds.

Another garden in front of the casino.

Looking towards the house.

A wider view of the fountain garden.
