No Name Harbor

After leaving the yacht club in Key Biscayne we wanted to be close to the end of the island for an early departure when the weather permitted.  The slip we were in was going to be a challenge to leave in the forecast winds so we planned out everything we were going to do and it worked.  May not have been perfect but no damage to boat, bones or egos.  We went around the corner to No Name Harbor in the state park.  We started out anchored outside because we thought the inside would be too crowded.  Turns out so many boats went by at high speed until late at night and then again early in the morning that is was an uncomfortable spot.  We went inside the harbor for a pumpout (free and provided by the park if you pay to enter the park) and breakfast at the grill there.  The anchorage had plenty of room so we found our spot and settled in for the day.  We talked with several folks their in interesting boats.  We also went ashore and walked the trail we didn't bike on the other day.  Spent a lovely evening aboard and had the boat ready to go offshore for the long run up the coast.  Great stopover!
Blue Moon in No Name Harbor.

This tree looked so gnarly from wind and water.

Look close at the bumble bee on the flower of the Seagrape.  The plants are
just starting to bloom and they were covered in bees.

This walking trail went by several inland ponds.  We saw so many fish
jumping David wished he had a rod with him.  The birds were varied
and numerous all along the path.

The entrance to the harbor is narrow and shallow except in the center so
most boats are scared off unless they have local knowledge.  I use a
crowd sourced app that boaters keep updated on conditions all over the
U.S. and the Bahamas.  Super helpful.

Not too crowded but not a lot of extra room either.  We were lucky to get
a good spot.  Several more boats arrived after we did and by the evening
there wasn't room.

The park trail.
