The keys can be a mixed bag of weather any time but it seems especially in the "winter" months. I say that with full awareness that the weather here is Spring for a lot of places. Anyway, just like everywhere else weather affects what we do and where. How much sun and wind determines how much power we have to blow on things like watching tv. One thing is for sure, being on a mooring ball, we are much more aware of our power usage and weather. It is nice to sleep with all the windows open and aft (back) companionway with screens in. Not a convenient way of living but not a bad one either.
We have a long ride to church on Sunday and when it's blowing and
cold, I bundle up to protect my face. The Buff was picked out by our
granddaughter, Freya so extra special.
Speaking of Freya, her parents have called her Beloved since birth.
This is a very large catamaran in the marina.
Sunset tradition is blowing the conch.
Sometimes the current is much stronger than the wind
shifting the boats sideways to the wind. Usually the mooring
ball is directly in front of the boat.
The kids wanted us to have this picture of them before
we left Oregon. Who could ever forget those faces!
The community garden is really a labor of love and looking great.
This dinghy has been great. We can remove the
seat and really load her up with stuff.
Jolene update. She seems to be back on the right path.
Not uncommon sight in the harbor, a manatee.
Mare's Tails clouds in sunset afterglow.
The pumpout boat is such a vital part of keeping the
harbor free of sewage being pumped overboard.
Nice place to relax and read.
We love seeing our solar panels topping off the batteries.
Another great sunset.
