We finally had enough things together to make the move over to the Bahamas. We really enjoyed all aspects of our 2 months in the keys but time to move.
We commissioned a new cockpit table from Buck's Woodcraft
in Marathon. John did a beautiful job selecting compatible pieces of
teak then bonded them in alternating directions to create a thing of
functional beauty. We did mange to get three coats of varnish on it before we left.
Already, the first coat brings out such beauty in the grain.
Where all the cool kids hang out :)
We were lucky enough to still be in the harbor when friends
and slipmates back in Fort Walton came through in their RV.
Always a good time with Kim and Roger.
The Dockside Bar and Grill has the lights on at
night to attract fish for the diners to enjoy. We saw
a manatee one night.
Live music every night, great happy hour options
made us frequent visitors.
How cruisers get haircuts. This is in a room at
the headquarters building. Marissa kindly came in
to cover appointments for the harbor denizens.
I could not get the entire boat and entire house in the frame.
Both are quite luxuriously large.
