Last of Nassau

Since we do want to visit other islands, it's time to take off.  We plan to leave around noon (high tide) on Saturday the 1st of April and head to Rose Island for a day.  There is supposed to be good snorkeling and then we will try and beat weather (the theme of this trip) and make it to Royal Island near Eluthra where there is a good protected bay.  From there maybe Spanish Wells and on to the islands in the Abacos.  I should have some type of service to post again by next week.  Enjoy the last pictures of Nassau
Not sure how this boat ended up on the sidewalk but it seemed worth the picture.

This boat had been hauled up (careened in nautical terms) so it could
have work done on the bottom.  You can barely see the guy under there
scrapping away.  We had it much nicer with the lift!

The view from the top floor of our marina.  The pool is the best feature.

These huge dive boats operate out of this marina.  They carry about 15-20
people for a week or more depending on the charter.

Our neighbor on the T-dock.

Looking back towards the office.  Boats are here from all over the world.
So far, we're the only US flagged boat.

I've been trying to get a picture of one of these critters since the keys.  This
one was kind enough to pose.  Appropriately, they are called curly tailed lizards.
