Going to Fort Myers

After leaving LaBelle, we had another lock and a few opening bridges before reaching  our end for the day, St.Charles Yacht Club.  It was a nice, uneventful trip down the river and an easy entrance with an outside slip, easy-peasy.
Heading down the river.  It is wide and fairly deep all along the stretch
from LaBelle to Fort Myers.

This was more than a house, it was an estate!  If you can zoom in
close enough you'll see the stone lions on the steps up and some other
statuary and the fountain.

This huge power plant provides power for the southwest area of Florida.

Near downtown, there are these 3 bridges so close together.  So glad they were
all tall enough to get under.

Entering the estuary which is much wider.

This is a pretty park with a series of fountains right on the waterfront.

The city in the back of the fountains.

City marina.

Paddlewheel boat waiting for tourists.
