Catching Up

It has been a while since I posted due to lack of enough data speed to post pictures so I'll be adding quite a bit in the next several posts.  We are currently sitting at the beautiful Bradenton Yacht Club working a plumbing issue.  Thank goodness we were at a dock when we hear the water pump coming on for no apparent reason.  Well, the reason became apparent once we started opening up the engine cowling.  Sadly, a water hose burst but happily it happened while we were on the boat at a dock.  If it had happened at anchor, we'd have no supply of fresh water as a back-up.  If we'd been off the boat when it burst, it would have filled the boat with water so there are some silver linings.  Maybe by the time I finish posting pictures David will be back with the part and we can get it all nice and neat again.  But on to the rest of our story in St. Pete.  Sunday was spent biking our way to an historical church in downtown St. Petersburg, St. Mary, Our Lady of Grace.  It was hard not to stare open jawed at the beautiful works of art that filled the church beginning with the doors and stone work to all the gorgeous stained glass and altar pieces.  The priest was a good preacher which is always a bonus.  We then spent the rest of the day doing laundry and getting ready to shove off for our next spot. Boring stuff but necessary.

They must have known about our special daughter, Martha when they named
this place!

Downtown St. Pete from the boat.  We were just feet from the main seawall that
runs all along the waterfront.

So long St. Pete YC.  You were great!
