On to Venice

Another spot we love to visit is Venice.  The yacht club is friendly and very close to a unique little city.  It is a planned city designed by a premier city planner of the turn of last century.  Being heavily influenced by European designs that were the fashion then, the names are based on the more famous Venice.  We also visited a history museum and learned much of the local flavor.  This would be worth a visit by car for anyone who wants a bit of charm with a modern flair.

I would love to meet the person with this much sense of fun.
The Venice History Museum.  No of the interior pictures
turned out but was well worth the visit.
The grand boulevard has a bike path built in the center of the
open space.  There are places to sit and relax, plantings of
all types and bits of history all blended into a great pathway.

I'm sure the shade is appreciated on a hot day!

During the build up to WWII and during the war,
this was an active base and a big influx of new people
who loved the area enough to stay.

We both love Banyan trees and this one
along the bike path was impressive.

The path crossing one of the intersecting streets.

Your view along one side of the blvd.

I love seeing public art so well done.
