We are shooting for a year long voyage down the Florida peninsula, a stop in the keys then up the East Coast at least as far as the Chesapeake.  We also want to make stops in the Abacos, Bahamas and the Dry Tortugas.  We don't want to be rushed so we have no firm itinerary.  If you follow along and see some place we plan to visit, let us know and we'll do our best to meet you there. If you want  to receive notifications of new posts, you can sign up to follow us and receive an email when new content is added.  I have enjoyed meeting and talking with many of you that follow along and it keeps me motivated to post.  If we do win the lottery, we'll buy a camera and Vlog.

Passing Smack Point and saying farewell to friends until we return or meet them along the way.

Thanks Cece for the picture of us sailing by.

We always carry lots of love for family with us.  This trip we have a special tea towel
with granddaughter Evie's hand-print and original art.  .

Yep, we're cruising on a beautiful winter day.  It was a pleasant sail at first but the wind died away to nothing
so it was on with the iron jenny for a while.

We thought we smelled smoke but everything in the engine and transmission area looked good.  Then
The charplotter had a partial failure.  No depth , wind speed or  hull speed.  So that was the burning smell!
We were so relieved to find we had spares on board and now we're back on the  way.  Just another
typical start to a Tye cruise.

Conch blowing is a sunset tradition and he is the master.

Selfie of the beginning.  Hope the smiles and sense of anticipation of new adventure last!

A perfect ending for our first day.  Even with glitches, all is well.
