Through the Itracoastal Waterway

The newly rebuilt 331 Bridge.  Last time we made it down this far, there were construction barges all along the length of the bridge.  Supposedly it will improve hurricane evacuation from the uber rich South Walton area.
This runoff was super foamy.  I can't imagine that is a good thing for the environment.
Erosion is a constant concern in the ICW.  These trees hang on precariously as the sand disappears.
The reason why we call this section "the ditch"  High steep sides.
There are many long, straight sections where steering is no challenge.  You still have to stay alert for other vessels and floatsam such as trees.
One of my better purchases, a chamois mop. I can dry the decks quickly on a dewy morning.
This bridge is the end of this stretch of the ICW and the opening to the west end of St. Andrew's Bay and Panama City.

The Western end of Choctawhatchee Bay and our home waters.
